Frequently Asked Questions

The garments are, most of the time, pre owned pieces. We purchase our pre-owned garments from second-hand dealers with whom we have built a relationship with over time, which understand our quality standards. We carefully select each piece for its quality and design as a potential canvas for the artist’s channelling.
We also believe in environmental creativity. And in making an art which brings new life to a garment, without having to buy a new one from scratch. Furthermore, we find pre-owned leather garments more comfortable and ready-to use than new leather garments, just as for blue denims.
-
We are very picky about the quality of the garments that we source for our clients. All of the garments that we source are in beautiful condition. Of course, signs of wear and slight imperfections are unique, special traits of vintage garments.
-
Of course! This is the goal of the custom program. So that you may be sure to have a garment which perfectly fits you. However, the garments have to be in real leather. Other fabrics (such as eco-leather) would not work due to the paint used in the process, which are specifically crafted for leather. Please pay attention to the fact that the artist does not paint on eco-leather.
Lastly, the artist leaves herself the possibility of not painting a garment if its conditions do not make it suitable for customisation.
-
We individually price each project based on how long it will take the artist to complete it - and the amount of details requested. The customization program is done hand-in-hand between the artist and the customer, in order to create a unique piece of art. Once the entity of the work is agreed, we will provide a price.
-
It depends on the garments and on the amount of details requested. Together with the artist’s schedule and pre-existing orders. As soon as you send your request we shall let you know how long it will take before we start the customization project, based on the other artworks in development.

No, the garments have to be in leather and not eco leather, as the durability and grip of the colours is best assured on real leather rather than other materials.
On patent leather, the patent has to first be removed with a special garnish remover in order to let the paint stick to the canvas, and then re-applied. This process, although possible, will be more expensive because it takes time.
-
We have conducted extensive research to find the best quality of colours for leather - and the solution we have found is top notch. The colours used by the artist penetrate within the leather of the garment, in order to ensure its durability over time and in different conditions.
Also, each garment is carefully treated with products which improve the quality of the garments, nourishing them and making it more resistant and waterproof.
The garments have been tested over time and in different weather conditions, responding excellently to various conditions.
-
Since the colour penetrates within the leather, It is not possible to remove it without compromising the garment, at least in the points where the colour has been applied.

The garments already for sale have already undergone careful selection when sourced. However, if the piece was exceptional for its design, but still had some small fixing to do, we have already brought it to a Tuscan artisan who fixed it.
For what regards the personalisation program, if there are some small, minor flaws, they can be fixed before the garment goes into artistic production, adding a small surcharge to the final piece. However, if the garment have significant damages, it will not be possible to fix it and it will be returned to the owner.
